“Images of America: Safety Harbor” Book Release Party, 6:30 to 8 p.m., 101 2nd Street N., Safety Harbor. Meet author Laura Kepner.

An Evening with Jodi Picoult & Jennifer Finney Boylan, 7 p.m., at Tampa Theatre, 711 N. Franklin Street, Tampa. The award-winning authors will discuss their new book, “Mad Honey.” Presented by Oxford Exchange.

Blah Blah Blah Literary Open Mic, 8 p.m., at Studio at 620, 620 First Ave. S., St. Petersburg. Presented by Wordier Than Thou. Featuring guest author Wendy Dalrymple.

Virtual Author Talk, 4 to 5 p.m., presented by the Dunedin Public Library. Author Aziz Gazipura will discuss his book “Not Nice: Stop People Pleasing, Staying Silent & Feeling Guilty.”

JeanAnn Taylor Author Visit, 5 to 6 p.m., Bruton Memorial Library, 302 McClendon Street, Plant City. JeanAnn will read her children’s book “The Little Dandelion.”

One Book One Night: “The House on Mango Street,” 6:30 to 7:15 p.m. This online event featuring readings from Sandra Cisneros’ award-winning book is presented by the Hillsborough County Public Library Cooperative.

Saturday, Oct. 15

Celebrate Freedom, 10 to 11 a.m., Bookstore1Sarasota, 821 Apricot Ave., Sarasota. Every Saturday morning through Nov. 5 one of Sarasota’s community leaders will read one of their favorite children’s books that celebrates diversity and inclusion.
